Sometime ago, I ran into a video on YouTube titled "Goofiest Suicide Squad Members", and this doofy little number was one of them.

This is Baby Boom, a member of the old Villain Group "Helix" along the likes of Mr Bones (now Director Bones), Penny Dreadful and Tao Jones. She's one of six genetically engineered metahumans with the power to generate explosions with her mind.
If she looks familiar, that's because like Mary "Baby Doll" Dahl, she is partly based off of Shirley Temple. That resemblance is basically what drew me in as well, so I thought I'd take a stab at designing a more modern take on this pyrokinetic pipsqueak.

So after doing some sketching , I landed on this: to the right is her debut design, which is more closely based on her first design from DC's "Infinity Inc.", and to her left is what she lands on trying to forge a more concrete identity for herself without looking like she's cosplaying as Human Bebop from TMNT '87.
