Description
Block's proposal scene in the background story behind Harvest of the Eyelords. He's presenting her with an object known as a Kenlock'lovass. Here's some fun fact's I've created for the Dragonborn race in the realm of Necerron:
The dragonborn since they live immortally do not rush any form of action. At least they didn't before they realized that their creators were slowly dying. (This is bad because their creators- corpses of dragons- are what fuel the existence of dragonborn. Or did until the clans formed together to resurrect their creators to their former glory. But back on track Dragonborn them selves are a shard of a soul to the dragon they are formed from. Dragonborn being a greater soul and Kobold being a lesser soul. With the expiration of a Dragon soul the Dragonborn and Kobold would eventually deteriorate like their creator.) Not excluding the influences of the mortal races. Over time the Dragonborn have learned to adapt to the new world that they've come to discover. However in an environment such as Ahraan'Ohkaaz the Dragonborn take as much time as they please. One thing in particular would be courting. When a Dragonborn courts another they tend to drag the process out, getting to know their partner, flattering them and impressing them. The final stage of the courting process is when the male offers a Kenlok'lovaas. A sphere, drawn from a portion of his own soul, which is crystalized and shaped as an offering. The female can decided to hold on to it, which signifies that she accepts or shatter it which entails that she rejects. Shattering entails that a portion of the males soul is destroyed.
The reasoning why the soul of a dragonborn morphs into crystals known as Kenlok'lovaas is due to the fact that when a Dragonborn dies they themselves shift into a cluster of crystals. Known as Naihadrion Crystals. In this state the dragonborn relives their past life through memories. In many places of Ahraan'Okaaz crystal gardens are set within the cities to honor the dead. However if more then one cluster is placed too close to one another a new life will be ushered into the realm. Which are known as Muhaan'rii, a rare type of Dragonborn of the true dragon subtype. Consisting of scales that shine like gems and bearing the memories of the crystal cluster's that touched.
