Description A technical readout for the M.A.C.O. Mark-II Phaser Rifle featured in my fan-fic, "Star Trek: Frontlines".  M.A.C.O. built their own weapons after the Dominion War (before then they just used Starfleet gear).  The Mark-II (or Mk-II) is a standard infantry rifle.  It is capable firing in beam mode or pulse mode.  Pulse mode fires bolts of energy allowing for a faster firing rate and increased damage, while sacrificing range and accuracy.  Likewise, beam mode increases range and accuracy but decreases firing rate and damage.  Also beam mode allows you to cut through doors and such and the width of the beam can be altered if you want to hit more than one target.  The scope and optical sight allow for aiming in situations where there's sensor jamming (natural or artificial).

Like Starfleet weapons, the Mk-II has 16 settings (8 stun settings and 8 kill settings).  It has a variety of attachments as seen in the image.  The Sensor Suite is basically a miniature tricorder that can display information on a headset the M.A.C.O. soldier wears.  The Sensor Suite also has a couple of displays on the actual unit that can be used if the headset is malfunctioning.  The Range Extender attachment does exactly what it says on the tin, boosts the range of the weapon.  The Multi-Spectral Flashlight can emit various wavelengths of light, which is useful for revealing things that the sensor systems might miss.

Finally the Mark-I Grenade Launcher is basically a 24th century version of the M203 (or any other modern grenade launcher attachment).  It can fire a variety of grenades, from basic explosive grenades to what are basically programmable mines.  The selector switch is used for selecting the various settings on the specialized grenades.
