Okay so when @bird-armadda shared with me an alternative ending? sequel? to this absolutely heartwrenching fic, I HAD TO draw something inspired by this. Like, I had to, this was a calling. So please have some Celebrimbor feeling his lover’s presence thanks to the connection of their rings (and still softly coaxing him to return) - and a raging, conflicted Sauron coming home kneeling before Celebrimbor to finally submit to him - about to give up the power he worked so hard on establishing only to barely taste it; about to pass his perfect creation into the steady hands of the Elven lord, and enter the comfort of servanthood - that inner need he’d tried to suppress for so long.
