EDIT: Since this is my most popular stamp/deviation, I've decided to resize it so that its size doesn't misplace other stamps.EDIT AGAIN: Gah, I'm really beginning to dislike how popular this stupid stamp I made in 5 minutes is getting, while my other artwork isn't even 1/10th as popular. Oh well. Nothing that can be done about it.
Seriously? What's the point? Home is supposed to be a break from school. It's supposed to be YOUR TIME. Apparently, teachers don't want us to have free time. Isn't 7 hours of school enough?!? Why pile another 2-3 on top of that?!? The only teacher I've had that was considerate enough to acknowledge that kids have lives was my 8th grade History teacher. Man, I miss him... D=

Haha, me too. I had an awesome teacher who were very considerate on what goes on with our lives my freshman year in high school, most approachable guy in our school. cB
Unfortunately he just quit last year which made me sad, but I guess the job just stressed him out too too much :C
Some homework though, I can understand that it's really trying to help us think and learn.
But others who's problems are just repetitious and make the same problems over and over again with more stacked on top of that almost seems like a waste of a good hour or three to me e____e...

I'm sure you've heard this, but many children don't seem to absorb much of anything in said seven hours. If they actually paid attention, we might not have homework....

ToastersToastToast In reply to matskiuchiha [2010-06-03 05:26:33 +0000 UTC]
If most kids don't absorb anything, then what's the point of 7 hours of school? We should just go to school, get our textbooks and homework, then go home and do the work.

Fortunately when i was going for my HSC i only had between 4-6 hours of school, but damn, if i had bothered with all the mediocre homework my house would have probably been full with paper >_> One teacher wanted us to summarize about 30 pages of a book for homework almost each lesson. And she dumped at least 2 large folders worth of notes on us beforehand, i don't see how it was necessary, considering the notes said everything she wanted summarized about 10 times themselves.

I think it's safe to say that most teachers assume that the meaning of our existence is essay writing or something.
It's even worse when you have a sport for 2-3 hours after school, and just when you want to go home and rest you have to do more work -_-'

ToastersToastToast In reply to thullial-b [2010-05-03 04:24:16 +0000 UTC]
Yup. Our parents are always telling us to savor our childhood while it lasts, while our teachers seem to be telling us the exact opposite.

Exactly. Come on, English teacher, let's back away from the symbolism that seems to be dripping from every page in this book and actually enjoy the story.

The highschool I'm going to this year is adding an extra hour (due to the fact that some of the students don't CARE about school, & get bad grades. So they're forcing the extra hour on ALL of us )
Sadly, this means we MAY have to wake up an hour earlier (Not entirely sure about this, but I hope it's not true, due to the fact that I don't fancy waking up at 4 in the morning.) But I DO know that we'll have to stay in school for an extra hour, & after that, HOMEWORK!! (It's like they think that we don't have lives )
Me & my friend Lilith are making a bet to see who'll crack first, the teachers, the students, the principal, the parents, or the bus drivers (& how long it takes for someone to crack under the stess, I think that it'll be at LEAST a week or two, but at the most, a month or two)

NamioftheSea In reply to ToastersToastToast [2010-04-13 04:13:22 +0000 UTC]
But, I will stay confident (That & youtube, deviantart, fanfiction . net, runescape, friends, & videogames keep me sane) Do you want in on the bet though? I'm pretty sure that either the teachers, the parents, or the principal will crack first, due to the fact that they'll have to put up with us grumpy teenagers

ToastersToastToast In reply to NamioftheSea [2010-04-13 04:15:22 +0000 UTC]
I don't think the parents will crack. It would mean seeing less of their kids. My bet is that the teachers will be the first to crack.

NamioftheSea In reply to ToastersToastToast [2010-04-13 04:26:45 +0000 UTC]
Agreed, but grumpyness means shorter tempers, which the parents have to deal with when the teenagers get home. (Of course, the teachers will have to put up with us EVEN LONGER. But the principal is in charge of the school, so guess to whom ever one runs to when things go bad (Detention & school issues). & the bus drivers have to put up with us going to & from school, plus they'll have to wake up EVEN EARLIER than any of us
)

Yeah, because they have to grade the papers & stuff (But it's what they get for suggesting the idea & going for it in the first place )
