Description
My part of theluminarium s exhibition called "Energy". You can check out the other awesome entries here: www.theluminarium.net/v3/exhibβ¦A different attempt this time for a close up planet. I kinda like the result. The picture is available as dual screen wallpaper for widescreen resolution (if you have another setup, just crop it to your liking).

This piece is simply flawless The view is mind blowing, the colors are vibrant, the textures are sharp and very well detailed and thats the best close up planet I've seen so far. Awesome work

die Wolken sind so voluminΓΆs keine Ahnung wie du das machst.
Danke, aber angeblich durfte man nur stocks von #StockProject verwenden, weshalb ich wahrscheinlich schon disqualifiziert bin.

Fantastic image.
I am sure two large bodies this close would destroy each other by gravity!

Superb! But wouldn't the shadows from the astronauts go towards the front of the image as the light from the sun is the opposite way?

there seem to be two lightsources in the scene, one of them outside the frame, which is why the astronauts cast two shadows in different directions.
