I love his work! Definitely one of my faves... Him and Bill Sienkiewicz, he's good too. (He did the comic Stray Toasters). He'd be a good one to check out to if you haven't; weird (but good) comic and amazing art.
I think you could do very good picture books (maybe not for kids...) if you wanted too. I am a big fan of your work as well.
