i don't know the character but the way you have captured him looks fantastic.
to me, he looks like he is on the verge of insanity but instead of trying to fight it off, he seems to quiet like the idea and is seemingly content with embracing the path of insanity.
I also like the loose contemporary feeling you have given this digital painting.
The simple palate has really helped to give this illustration a real dream like quality
