An absolutely stunning work. Perfect use of B&W. It seems fitting that I found this image when I was listening to a song called "Sad Ghosts"

Waking up in the morning, getting ready for school/work, going downstairs as I say goodbye to whoever's living with me...
Before jumping and screaming loudly when I see a girl who shouldn't be in there at the doorway. XDΒ

Beautifully haunting capture, that has elements of anticipation, melancholy and possibility twisted together in a beautifully rendered black and white.Β It asks more questions than answers them, and leaves a few clues about where we are and what might have happened before the house was abandoned.Β Is it just me that doesn't want that figure turning around...?Β Congratulations on the Daily Deviation!

Very creepy.Β I imagined her having no face, just a gaping mouth that opens and she gathers into herself and rushes me, trying to scream.Β But it seems that it's me that's doing the screaming.Β Why let a tormented spirit do all that screaming alone?

That girl probably wouldn't even know you were there anyway because she'd probably just be a recording...
Yeah, believe it or not... some times life or nature can record itself and then play images and sounds back at later times...

Well, then it's just me that has an imagination that tends to the macabre and what images might be hidden rather than shown.Β
That's the beauty of this capture; it says different things to different people, based on their own perceptions, and I can imprint what I'd like on it, regardless of anyone else's opinion or explanation of what I might or might not have as possibility.Β Or what might or might not be possible in the realm of reality.

I think the ghost-girl detracts, honestly. There is far more terror in old houses on their own sometimes than in any apparition. Having a physical manifestation on top of that makes it even more--cheesy. The image itself is gloomy and atmospheric but the girl just screams the intent and leaves little room for interpretation. I think, maybe, a far more interesting approach would be to simply not have anything there at all--allow the audience to see if there is anything there at all rather than give the answer outright.
