*sigh*I wanted my first deviation of the new year to be a good piece, something I could really be proud of. But because of my terrible color skills, this didn't come out nearly as good as I had hoped it would.
Umm...If I upload the lineart to this, would anyone be willing to color it to make it look good? I really liked the idea, I just couldn't get it to look right colored.
Anyway, Happy New Year ' 08 everybody!!

This is really awesome. I haven't seen any good MinaKushi yet too, so extra points to you.

I looked over the entire picture to find something to critique, but I seriously couldn't find many things wrong with your anatomy and shading.
But the shading on the tree looks kind of like it could have been done by the dodge/burn tool. I just don't see many trees uh, shine that much. (I couldn't find a good word for it. xD)
And like somebody else said before, Minato's face looks a bit wierd. I'm not 100% sure, but it might be because of his eye/eyebrow placement. He hardly has a forehead. xD
But, overall, this is really great!

Hmm...I get that question a lot. Usually, I just sketch in pencil, then draw over it in ball point pen. Sometimes the lines come out a little rough, but i think it's alright...
