In my Starfarer TTRPG campaign setting, the Hune are sapient jellyfish from an ocean of icy liquid methane. They experience the universe from robotic suits that keep them refrigerated, pressurized, and protected from our toxic oxygen-nitrogen-argon atmosphere. They use sensors and mechanical limbs to use technology made for creatures with far more complex and solid anatomies than their own. They tend to be needlessly cute for what are often obsessively meritocratic and power-hungry creatures.
