Can I ask what your design direction or philosophy was with this character?

Maybe I'm being swayed by the title but this definitely LOOKS like a fantasy main character, and I'm interested in knowing why.

Were there common design tropes that you stuck with that evoke standards I don't realize I'm used to after years of absorbing speculative fiction?
