I often used to hide or trap myself in my own thoughts and emotions that I felt I was becoming weak because I was doing it too often. Art has always been my escape from reality and a shield from other aspects of my life. This year I feel like I've taken some steps forward by opening up more to other people and my anxiety has definitely decreased, at least by a little bit. Art can often heal us but sometimes if the balance is not right we slowly become more and more closed up with ourselves, so taking little breaks just to rest our mind is super important, whether that's by going on a walk, taking a holiday, meeting with friends, clubbing, watching your favourite series, anything you find fun and relaxing.
