My first of two illustrations for BLACK INK HORROR #0. This one could almost be considered the sequel to "Fucked", as it's for another Louise Bohmer story. The tale involves a sleazy drug dealer, Satan, a Norse god, and a rokurokubi...and, of course, lots of sex and violence.Due to DA's policies, I have gone ahead and blacked out one small part of the picture. For those of you without any sense of anatomy or imagination, the thing in his lap is, of course, Fivel the mouse from AN AMERICAN TALE. Wait, you thought it was a WHAT? Gosh, what the hell is wrong with you? Geeze...someone needs to get some.
Anyhow, pen and ink, about 30 hours.

nice one bud, thats a very large cencored area, like the demons pose, nice shadining on the butt area, i like the way you got the dude's neck muscles standidng out, very cool, i know what you're like with demon girls... hope you didn't get to excited doing this piece, (that dude ain't you is it?) great work to grace the pages, i still ain't got a story yet man, itching to get going!!!!

As for the demon girl, I had to take a couple breaks so that I could regain my concentration. Those damn demon bitches are HOT! LOL

the way i took it its about a boy with 2 different personalities whos father keeps coming back and the son kills him over and over. very interesting

i'm drooling over this! it's incredible! i love how you use signs to add some more humor, and brevity to your pieces, the 'in case of fire ...burn' is a great touch and really seems to capture what i infer the story is about. what does the neon sign say? just curious.
wonderful detail on the bodies, your feet are great! the woodgrain on the chair is wonderful! do you do that with pointalism as well?
is the tattoo part of the story? does it mean anything? how many questions can i ask you in one comment?
i can't wait until BIH #0 comes out, i really want to read this story. you did an excellent job of grabbing my attention, and driving me to want to read it, which is what excellent illustrators. such as yourself, do.
your description gave me a good laugh as well. funnily enough, the 'oh' censor seems to work with the piece! i wouldn't have known it didn't belong if you hadn't said anything, it goes with your humor.

Thank you so very much! The neon sign says Adrenaline Lite as, in the story, the gods are using human adrenaline for a drug.
I'm so glad that the bodies looked good as I wasn't as careful with the anatomy as I normally am. This one is a little different than my other work as I did the entire thing in pointalism first, then went back and used a little hatching on some areas. The chair is mostly pointilism.
The tatto actually isn't part of the story. I wanted something to make the guy look more interesting. So, I made up a couple tattoos. And you can ask as many questions as you want!
The story rocks--Louise is a GREAT writer with very original, entertaining stories. And your illustrator comment made my month!

Apart from that, I love the shading of the bricks and the design of the sign right above. Yeah, and the tattoo. It probably belongs to the story, but it's avery cool touch.

And I thought that 'OH' stood for Ohio, which, strangely, sounds like 'Good morning!' in Japanese, but it's the wee hours of the morning and my mind is thinking weird thoughts. Excellent work as always. The composition is solid, and the rokurokurobi's expression and the guy's face lends a sense of gallow's humor to the piece. Goodness, you're already done with one, and here I am, still working on the first!

Oh God--I would NEVER draw over the original. I just used the paint tool to black out his "tool"...LOL Loki is the God that appears in this story. He is Norse, right? If not, I'm going to feel like an idiot...lol
