I'm not sure what to make of your artist comments, but I really like the design of the characters on your image! They flow well together and each one is interesting and are taking the situation in a different way.
The only thing is that the branch they're hanging on to for dear life, doesn't seem like it's growing from the cliff wall.

Well... you could technically, I think it's the lines on the wall comparatively to the lines on the branch... The lines on the cliff are REALLY straight and are lighter than the branch itself.
