Excuse the poor quality, my scanner isn't working so I just took a photo of the drawing.(You can see my shadow in the bottom corner LOL)
Inspired by my previous picture, but in the end I decided to use traditional mediums because I'm used to them and traditional art is my strong point.
My theme picture for a collab auction on Gaia Online.
All the black was painted with Sumi ink and a paint brush then touched up with a quill pen. The shading on the face was done with "Inktense" Derwent water soluble ink pencils.
Minor editing in PaintTool SAI.

Wow I just love the placid expression on his face, I always try to get that same look. And ink splatters always make thing more interesting.
Did you do this on gray paper, or were the white highlights the details added in SAI?
