Yu-Gi-Oh! fans rejoice. I have drawn Mai Valentine/Kujaku again after almost ten years. If I wasn't sidetracked by work, school, and other personal business, I would have drawn this much sooner.

Doesn't Mai look lovely running? This is based off a scene from the Legendary Heroes mini-story arc wherein Mai briefly runs for her life. No doubt that Mai takes care of herself through exercise—how else does she maintain her feminine shape and good looks?

This is also the first time that I used a soft light layer effect on a separate layer, hence the highlights and shine on Mai's skin and purple clothes. I'll let viewers decide whether or not said layer effect was the right choice.

Given that Mai was a popular character in the franchise, I wonder why she hasn't appeared in more recent media. If there's a future Yu-Gi-Oh! series or film, we have to see Mai in action again. Fans, hope that we make that possible.
