Congrats on the DD!
I knew a photographer who actually went out and chased storms and placed lightening rods in different areas and formations while encased in a thick rubber suit and boots. His photos like yours were unbelievably magnificent. He had of course been struck on more than one occasion but had a love for what he did beyond anyone I had previously encountered.
Here in Florida, USA we get some mean storms, not unlike the one shown so beautifully here.

Whoa, amazing shot. What settings did you use for that?
I tried that once and actually captured a lightning that was all over the screen. Sadly the auto focus had reseted after changing the card, so it was all blurry.
