Here's the original journal for the rewrite idea I did back in 2017:

LT - Back In Action rewrite ideaNow I'm thinking of eventually doing a remake fanfiction of Looney Tunes: Back in Action, but this version would have Sylvester and Tweety in the main roles instead of Daffy and Bugs respectively, because I like the idea of Sylvester refusing to go back to being Tweety's stooge in Hollywood and going on a mission. Plus, it'd make perfect sense of Sylvester was jealous that people love Tweety more than him. To me, it's the plot that should've been for an actual movie.
Things I'd have to figure out though:
1. What to replace the Duck Dodgers subplot with
2. Where to put Bugs and Daffy in this version
3. What to do with Pepe and Penelope in this version
4. Where to put Granny in this version
5. Whether the live-action characters from the movie should be kept or replaced with different ones

Well, after reading that over I have a few suggestions for you:

1. Maybe the Duck Dodgers subplot could have something to do with Furball deciding to go on an adventure as well after being inspired by Sylvester and realizing he's sick of his place in Tiny Toon Adventures

2. Bugs and Daffy could have a role similar to Clopin from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" or Alan-A-Dale from "Robin Hood" in the sense of being Interactive Narrator characters in Sylvester's story

3. Pepe and Penelope could be coworkers and friends of Sylvester who care for him and sympathize with the grief he gets from Tweety while supporting his goal of being treated better

Good ideas, although just last night I came up with a plot that I could use, but it's not guaranteed.

Sometime after Sylvester loses his job, he, Pepe and Penelope discover that most of the Looney Tunes cast members have been abducted by a mysterious force, and it's part of the trio's mission to find and rescue them.

I'm still working on what the rest of the mission is about.

It's not a final choice.

This mysterious force wouldn’t happen to be a certain vindictive alien amusement park owner who had his minions face off against the tunes in a game of basketball with Michael Jordan, would it?
