Hmm I'm not sure if it was a failed summon. After all Stitch isn't just some ordinary creature, he is a genetically engineered War-Machine. If Naruto would convince him to fight along his side not many shinobi would be able to go against him.

Stitch would be a good summon (like kh)... though when I first saw this, I was reminded of HOW they advertised Lilo and Stitch (I never liked them... they wern't funny to me)
