I've wanted to do a Masque of the Red Death crossover for ages. I'm super cheap and lazy though so I was dragging my heels about actually making a dress for it. And then I found this little gem at Goodwill. Aside from a bit of um... padding... at the top it fits perfectly and I can get body paint all over it without any guilt. It also let me put all my effort into making the skull mask. I used the same method as here on a cheap paper mache skull mask from Michaels. This was worn for the 2013 Matsuricon formal where I met lots of lovely people who were willing to dance with me despite the threat of getting body paint all over their beautiful costumes.
