Description
Took me a while to do Fennekin because I had no idea what to do with him. I knew I wanted to go with the 'noble' idea, and I maybe wanted to add a big poofy tail skirt...but that idea didn't really work for both genders so I split it between the two.The names are bad and I feel bad. Also they ended up looking more macaw-like than I anticipated. But oh well!
My ideas are that the female evolves to be a special attacker and the male is physical.

Oh man, I love the dignifire, both of them. I love the elegant look of the female version, but the male one reminds me of an ancient hunter of some kind. I really dig their mask looking faces as well.

I never would have even thought of having splitting the starters through gender. That's really awesome! It would be a really interesting take if Game Freak had started doing that. I mean, they've already gone as far as merging Kyurem and Reshiram/Zekrom, so why not lol.

Dignite would be perfect if they were ground/fire. Sovereignite is another option, although it sounds too fancy for Game Freak
Lovely designs! Feels like they would pass off well in the Labyrinth.
Now that I think about it, they do kind of look like the love children of Sir Didymus and the Fierys ...

I really like these! I don't keep up with pokemon anymore, but I loved the originals- are these your ideas for evolutions? If so, I think you did a great job! You kept the color scheme and theme of the pokemon in mind!

This is awesome and you should feel awesome! Although I get what you mean about the names. Flareagant is a little...sad. Dignifire isn't bad though. But you do need to find a way to include fox or something to do with foxes into their names.
Now Froakie!!! I hope you go with the wizard or scholar idea rather than the thief. I think it works better with Froakie's bifocal markings and fluffy beard/hair. Plus I just like it better. Been waiting for a wizard-like Pokemon forever. And since wizards and frogs already have a sort of a thematic connection...

Dude, if you can figure out how to make Froakie look like a clergy member that would be amazing. Then you'd be playing with three of the Medieval estates used in playing cards.

Well...bubble foam takes the shape of a wizard hat and sort of vaguely Santa-like fluffy beard. He gains a knobby wooden wand in the middle stage and a wooden staff in the second. Has sort of fins or frills that form something reminiscent of robes. Prolly still be sort of squat in stature. And maybe with some sort of wisps floating around him, making him a water/ghost type, because as a wizard he controls spirits...
I'm sorry. You're the artist and I shouldn't be trying to tell you what to do. Just trying to throw ideas at you and maybe get some of those creative juices flowin'.

Blaziken was put on the uber list with the legendaries because of it.
