Wow, there is so much personality and feeling in the piece.  The colors balance out the feeling quite well: the warm oranges and reds shining where the fun is happening which is a huge contrast between the blue chill of winter.  And the expression on the fox, how the lips are curled back into a smile and the eyes are wide open as he/she is capturing a snowflake on the tip of his/her tongue is quite brilliant, and only to be heightened by how his tongue's lolling out his mouth almost like a puppy panting at play.  Also, the depth of field effect is quite well done, giving a three-dimensional feel to the image.
