Awhile back, there was a lot of talk about a Game of Thrones-y Zelda. And I just thought that the Mario Universe might be a more interesting setting for such things.Related content

I'm a bit confused... what's with the final 2 panels? Are they supposed to show that Daisy is just imagining these dark turns toward evil?

Yeah, the last two panels are a cut back to the previous scene of Bowser leaving, and so everything that followed was really just evil daydreams

It would be nice if that were made more obvious by the visuals. The way Japanese manga tends to do this is to change the color of the inter-panel spacing to indicate flashbacks or daydreams.

You're not supposed to know it's a daydream as it happens, though. The signs that there's a change are the similar lines used, the similar panel used, and the extra space between the two rows. Noted, though.

Doesn't matter too much, but I'm now pondering there's a large trade industry based around Super Star breeding, Fire Flower farms, mushroom harvests, and there's import and export tax brackets and complicated stuff that Bowser almost never pays any attention to until he realizes the Koopa Kingdom is left only with Frog Suits and nothing else, and then it is on.

hell maybe peach was sapose to have a pollitcle marriage with bowser to help both kingdomes but she backed out and thats why the hole mess in mario started

Aside from that. We have not seen much from daisy really, other than some mario party games. So i'm not that sure who would be the best ruler. Daisy was also in trouble the first time we met her

True, we don't see enough of either princess, really, to know how well they are at their jobs. I actually always considered both of them to be really smart and effective and professional when needed, despite that we see them always goofing off and gaming canonically.

Have you seen the theory that the whole "Bowser kidnaps Peach and is rescued by Mario" is essentially a big act/game they put on regularly, for the fun of it?

Oh, totally! ^3^ It makes me ponder what Mario's origin story is, exactly... I imagine he and Luigi were Italian immigrants who operated in Brooklyn for a while, gained a glimpse of city fame after Mario saved his first girlfriend, Pauline, from an escaped ape known as Donkey Kong, who he faced off against at this construction site. Later on, while Mario and Luigi were plumbing, they stumbled upon some sort of dimensional portal through an odd pipe system deep within Brooklyn's sewers, and landed in the Mushroom Kingdom, where their adventures began! :3

To be honest, I don't even take Bowser seriously as a villain. He was never really taught the differences of right and wrond, since he was raised by Kamek, and besides that, the Mario gang invites him to go kart races, and Smash battles, and stuff, so they don't even take him seriously.
