maybe but the god fight was only one arc and all it did was open up the path to SSblue .....I mean in GT they had the Evil Shenron arc where they were all almost as powerful as gods and in the end Vegeta and Goku had to fuse at SS4Β to beat him .....and even then to accomplish that form they each had to regrow their tails......it was so dam confusing ....Super kept it nice and simple

?? what time travel and as for GT he got SS4 because Bulma used her bluntz wave machine to force the change......thats the whole point in that Vegeta always sought the power himself......in Z he obtained Super Saiyan without needing the same trigger as Goku

except in Dragonball they used a what seems to be sanctioned form of time travel.....and even than it seems that it only sent GOku back in his mind since when he was in otherworld training for when the saiyans arrived his friends did the same thing ......I"m thinking when its man made like the time machine it causes distortions but when they use something like the TIme room or time ring it uses some god lvl magic to do so

technically it did because it had a timeline where trunks defeated the androids on his own and survived and one where after killing them he was killed by cell....if u check in Super they actually show how many different timelines have been made
