Description This is what I've been doing for the past two days as an experiment with (so far) two things:

1) Learning the 3d Studio Max interface and getting to know it better.
2) Try using the extrude and bevel features to model my computer.

I still have to add a little more detail to the front and also I need to texture it and learn how to use lights to make the lcd's glow in the front box. If anyone out there has any advice on where I can go to learn how to do good lighting or make light emit from a source, please let me know.

This is my first real attempt at modeling an actual object, so please let me know how I'm doing. I hope to have the next version up soon, but who knows because next week is finals week .

Hey man lookin good. The Modeling is lookin very solid. Like im sure ur aware ur lightin needs a bit of adjustment, but that all comes in time. Are u plannin on rendering an actuall scene? or just FG render? that would change what lightin set ups u are using forsure. Looks good though. Drop me a note if u want someitme, although all i can offer is what i know about lighting. Keep up the good work.

I love the precision and the perspective. The yellowish-brown shadow looks too dirty for the subject matter, however.
