Introducing my Radical Racer for the DeviantArt Original Character Challenge!

Mirani Mezelk hails from the sandy province of Arom. For reasons unknown to her since childhood, she and her family have been living in exile alongside the Branded, individuals who have lost imperial citizenship due to unforgivable crimes. Living among all sorts of tough folk, Mirani had to learn how to fend for herself. She lives and fights in the company of her Divine Beast, a Racax she named Vento. After Mirani's mother was held hostage by the Don, the mobster who murdered her brother, Mirani and Vento worked within the underground in the hopes of saving the only family she had left.

Vento, like any Divine Beast, has special abilities it can share with Mirani. Through a technique known as Soul Vessel, Vento can transform into a vehicle that responds to Mirani's voice commands. In Vessel Mode, Vento turns into an anti-gravity vehicle that offers a compact safe space where Mirani can issue orders and rest. Vento's Vessel Mode Trick is the Gale Exhaust. By focusing its Mana Cells, it can surpass super-sonic speed while simultaneously firing blasts of air backwards.

Mirani wears her late brother's bead on her dread. This lucky charm serves as a constant reminder that no sacrifice is too small when it comes to the people you love.
