CT-8877/2, also known as “Rook,” was a clone trooper who served the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He was a part of the elite 21st Nova Corps, in a unit known as Barrage Squad.

He is the youngest and least experienced member of the squad, and thus was dubbed a rookie by his squad mates. Despite his skills, and countless battles he participated in after joining the squad, his nickname stuck, and he eventually came to embrace it.
