Description   (in rage): ROAR!!!

F*** THIS EPISODE! Like the Eds in this episode, I'm not lying! Out of all the episodes of my favorite cartoon series, Ed, Edd n' Eddy, this is the one episode that I like the least and I hated it with a burning passion. It really pisses me off and it had a really terrible ending!

This is the one that many fans (including myself) considered it to be the absolute worst of the series.

Why is that? Here it is:

Part 1: Its Friendship Day in the town of Peach Creek and Jimmy hosted a ceremony to all the boys and girls of the cul-de-sac who were loved (mostly when Nazz and Kevin arrives) and built a giant, red papermache heart. Together they happily sing "Friends Are There to Help You" along with the singing birds flying around them, as well as the blooming flowers and woodland animals wondering around. Then Ed, Edd, and Eddy arrives (with Edd admiring the celebration), much to the neighborhood kids’ dismay and for some unexplained reasons, all the birds, animals, and everything nice and cute were all gone and left. After Eddy gives Jimmy a wedgy which causes everyone (except Sarah) to laugh at him and made Jimmy break into tears, Sarah threatens Ed to tell his mother, which causes Ed to panic and frighteningly walks away dragging his friends (very harsh and misleading to blame the wedgy on Ed Sarah!). After driving the Eds away, Sarah and the others notices that her paintbrush is missing and harshly, she quickly blames Ed "for stealing it" and grabs and drags Ed, never mind the fact that there is NO evidence that Ed steals Sarah’s paintbrush. Then Jonny 2X4 see's that Plank's mouth has been erased and breaks down into tears. Nazz see's a rag with Plank's wiped mouth on it in Edd's pocket and  blames Edd "for" wiping off Plank's mouth while the other kids confront him for it. As Edd unsuccessfully tries to defend himself, claiming his innocence ("Oh, come on, people! Why would I want to erase Plank's mouth? This isn't my rag!"), the other kids shockingly discover a hockey stick puncturing the model heart and Kevin notices that Eddy's name is written on it, leading into Eddy’s accusation. Despite Edd trying to defend his friends and himself and claiming that they would never do such foul stuff like this, nobody agrees and stood up to the Eds as Sarah and Nazz screams at them for "ruining" Friendship Day and (although it was only Eddy that did it) for blaming all the crimes on Kevin (who gives them an evil smile during it; TALK ABOUT CRUEL IRONY and HYPOCRISY; I REALLY HATED that scene) before they and the rest of cul-de-sac kids angrily leaves the emotionally hurt and heartbroken Eds to wallow over their misery         . As the Eds became left alone in the cul-de-sac, Eddy and Edd begins to suspect who framed them and made a list of suspects. Then Ed finds their only clue, a painted bootprint which they believe to be left by the culprit that did the crimes that the trio were unfairly accused for and so (despite Edd's melancholy warnings, "They'll never agree to this type of verification, Eddy! Branded we are, exiled and disgraced! Forevermore!") the Eds begin to search for the culprit to clear they're names and gain trust from everyone as they go around the neighborhood, matching everyone's foot with the print. But this was not a success as none of the Cul-De-Sac kids (sans Rolf) have the exact perfect match and so the Eds continued searching on.

Part 2: But their struggle to clear their names and proved their innocence is futile when the Eds find Jonny tied up, blindfolded, and coated with jujubes in a candy stand with a still mouthless Plank advertising it believing that it was done by the culprit who got the trio falsely blamed and set them up and things took a turn for the worse as when Kevin, Nazz, Sarah, and Jimmy walks by in the lane and see's the Eds trying to release Jonny when they thought they tie him up, the Eds are once again yelled and blamed "for" doing this to Jonny and for "lying." Despite Edd trying to protest and claiming that they have evidence that proved their innocence, the Eds became the cul-de-sac's most wanted as Jimmy says “They made me cry!” and Kevin and Sarah became blood-boiled and furious of all this and threatens the trio to beat the crap out of them as punishment, resulting in a chase across the lane (WHAT A STUPID, DUMB IDEA KEVIN AND SARAH         ). But the Eds managed to hide in a bush and dodged the angry kids. Once they lost the angry mob, Edd discovers a trail of jujubes and so the Eds decided to follow the candy trail in which they believed would lead them to their culprit, only to lead them through the forest to an old dark shed. After being too scared to go in the shed, the Eds are forced to flee and hide in it as Ed see's that the angry neighborhood kids were right on their tail. While hiding in the dark shed from the Kids, the Eds come across the Kanker sisters (at first disguised as Rolf) and the Eds try to flee from being kissed and harassed by the sisters only to run a smack with the Kids. With no way out, the frightened Eds must make a sadistic choice of being sexually harassed and in a miserable relationship with the Kankers or (pictured) being beaten, pummeled, hurt, and humiliated by the angry kids ("We're caught in the vortex of impending doom! Trapped like animals fresh for the slaughter" You know the Eds should've just make a quick escape plan by digging a hole or find something in the shed to build to escape instead of making a decision of facing the two evils). Presumably, the Eds reluctantly choose the kids over the Kankers who beat them up with their fists, mallets, sticks, and nets they brought, and they taped them on a fenced wall and the scene cuts to them throwing fruit at them while laughing, teasing, and making fun of them       . As everyone runs out of fruit and leaves, happy and satisfied, the fruit-pelted, wearied out, and humiliated Eds see's Jimmy carrying a bag of jujubes as he offered some to Rolf and a painted boot in his pocket and Jimmy reveals to them that he was the real culprit behind all the acts! He tells the Eds that the reason he framed them and set them up into a psychological warfare on them was because Eddy gave Jimmy a wedgy which cause everyone to laugh and humiliate on him, thus swearing revenge on the Eds. As a result, Jimmy sets the Eds up and takes advantage of them by ruining his own friendship day while everyone's oblivious, then plays tricks on them by using fake clues such as the bootprint and jujubes as well as having Rolf as the patsy to keep the Eds off his trail and preserving his innocence, baiting and trapping Jonny with an acorn as a lure to get the Eds in even more trouble, and reluctantly even gets help and alliance with the Kankers for his final revenge. Together with all of this, they succeeded, with Jimmy laughing maniacally. Then the episode ends with the Eds screaming in terror as they're section of the lane fence is ripped off and dragged away with them by the Kanker sisters (who laughed evilly) to get in a romantic nightmare after Jimmy bribes them a reward for their help (via finger snap) and to add insult to injury, the Eds, after suffering the neighborhood kids' cruelty, are once again bullied and tortured (NO WONDER I don’t ship and pair the Eds with Kanker sisters)  , while Jimmy laughs and enjoys the moment ("Don't mess with the best suckers!") and (minus slipping on a banana peel and yelling "Sarah! Owie!") got away successfully Scott-free, happily.

What a horrible ending! What a horrible episode! What a flat-out horrible experience!

This episode's mean-spiritness has gone WAY too far. Jimmy is dark, manipulative, and downright sadistic as he manages to successfully frame and humiliate the Eds and psychologically tortured them and got them beaten up, getting their reputations ruined, and gets taken away by the Kankers to be sexually harassed after he offers the sisters a reward for helping him. While Jimmy and the Kankers are evil in this episode and wins, the cul-de-sac kids (especially those two morons on the left side of the image in this notebook page) are the episode's worst characters outside of the villains. They were manipulative, mean, cruel, sadistic, crazy, harsh, dumb, stupid, obnoxious, and downright unpleasant as they are hypocrites and so concentrating into yelling and blame everything on the Eds for nothing they didn't do without any logical sense and make their lives miserable, even when there's no evidence and proof that they did it (for example, Sarah blames Ed for stealing her missing paintbrush, despite the lack of evidence of it; the Eds became the Cul-de-sac's most wanted "for" not only tying Jonny up, but also coated him with jujubes, despite that the Kids never saw them with and eating jujubes) and even when it wasn't seen or shown (for example, when the Kids confront the Eds, believing that they tied up and jujube covered Jonny, and Eddy trying to claim that Jonny was tied up before the Eds found him, Kevin rudely replied, "Yeah right! We saw you dorks in our own eyes!"). Even when there's evidence and proof of their innocence, the Eds still became "the" neighborhood's fugitives.

If that wasn't bad enough, the story is weak, rushed, forced, and horribly contrived and there are a lot of plot holes that are never explained like:
  • Why did Jimmy frame all three of the Eds despite that it was Eddy that gave him the wedgy?
  • Why didn't Jimmy get revenge on everyone in the cul-de-sac (except Sarah) since the Eds weren't the only ones laughing at him?
  • Why did all the birds and other animals that appear in the "Friends are there to help you" song leave when the Eds show up?
  • How did Jimmy successfully frame the Eds so fast and without any flaws, as well as not having any of the kids noticing it?
  • Why Jonny didn't tell the others that Jimmy, not the Eds, tied him up and covered in jujubes, as well as wiping off Plank's mouth (While being blindfolded, tied up, and jujube covered, you can clearly see his ears being exposed, meaning that he could have heard the Eds and noticed that their innocent; during the flashback sequence where Jimmy tells the Eds how and why he set them up, Jimmy lures Jonny with an acorn, captures him through a wagon while he was distracted, and then the scene cuts to Jimmy gluing jujubes to an already tied up and blindfolded Jonny, so how Jimmy tied up and blindfolded Jonny without any noticing of them was unknown as it was never shown; Plank's mouth may be erased, but he still has eyes and see's things and should've told Jonny the Eds' innocence)?
  • Why the Kids being insane, mean, and harsh to the Eds, yelling at them, blaming everything on them when there's no evidence and proof and not being seen, and not let them explain the evidence and proof of their innocence?

Ok, there were a few scenes, such as Ed's word from his sponsors and Ed eating a log, that were kind of funny and entertaining, but it's still not enough to make it a good episode as the majority of it is mean-spirited, having innocent main characters getting yelled, abused, sexually harassed, tortured, and humiliated, and failed to prove their innocence, as well as the villains getting away scott-free.

This is a major example of how much hated and despised those poor Eds (even, sadly, Ed and Edd who were nice and kind, being innocent in this episode) really were, even when they're not doing their infamous scams to the neighborhood kids, how it's tough and difficult to be one in this cruel world, and seems to be at its pinnacle and highest level [even the birds and animals, and everything nice and happy, that appear when the neighborhood kids happily sing "Friends are there to help you" were all gone when Ed, Edd, and Eddy showed up and the Kids were not happy of it; also when the Eds were framed and get blamed by the other kids for "their" crimes, Nazz scolded at all three of them for blaming the crimes on Kevin (even though it was only Eddy that blamed him), telling them that they should be ashamed for doing it, while Kevin gives the them a villainous-looking grin (Talk about cruel irony!)         ;also the neighborhood kids angrily chased the Eds and unfairly hurt them with not only their fists, but also mallets, sticks, and other weapons they brought to give them even more pain and misery (OUCH!)  ; the Kids were feeling a lot happy and satisfied after beating up and fruit-pelting the Eds (Jonny gives them raspberries during it, while Jimmy happily says that it looks good on them), enjoying the moment as well as Jimmy joyed and enjoying the moment of the Eds getting taken away by the Kankers to get sexually harassed]. It shows that the one thing the Eds only have is each other.

So yeah, this is where both the Kanker sisters and the neighborhood kids are at their absolute WORST!

It would've been best if this episode gets edited, or even have an alternate ending of having the Eds getting their names cleared, not suffer the cul-de-sac's cruelty, not getting taken and smooched by the Kankers, and foil Jimmy's plan and ends with Nazz hugging the Eds while tearfully apologizing to them for blaming and turning against them and kisses Edd. That would've been a great ending! But Nope! We instead get this s****y episode with a s****y ending that's unfair and it’s nothing but a blatant slap in the face to people who like, love, sympathize, and fans of the Eds. I can't believe that show creator, Danny Antonucci considers this as one of his favorite episodes and I'm SHOCKED and DISAPPOINTED! I don't get why?

There are other episodes (such as Your Ed Here, A Town Called Ed, Smile for the Ed, etc.) that I don't like, but this episode I hate the most. ITS DEAD TO ME! Boy do I wish I bring in a hungry Tyrannosaurus rex in this lousy episode. That'll teach Jimmy and everyone for treating the Eds like CRAP!

Donate to the family of those poor Eds (especially Ed and Edd who were innocent) that were put through physical and emotional abuse in this terrible episode at BlowMeEdKillers.com

How would you feel if Ghost Rider killed off the worst offending characters in this episode with his fiery chain whip and penance stare?

IDK, but I think its best that the Tyrannosaurus rex from Jurassic Park and World (Rexy) (or the buck T. rex from The Lost World: Jurassic Park) would be kinda awesome to do so

Well for blaming and screaming at the Eds and treating them really cruelly and badly with pain and misery, with no logical sense

Also to Jimmy for framing them and to the Kanker sisters for torturing and kissing and harrassing them as well as successfully helping Jimmy framing the Eds and getting them in trouble as a deal of torture

Yeah, I was like that too!

When I first saw it, I really, really, really didn't like it and I was so unhappy of it because of the overly large amounts of cruelty the Eds have gone through and they didn't clear their names (I was even hoping that they will).

I even snap when I see or think about it

I have no idea what Danny was thinking when he wrote this episode. It would have been fine if the Eds had actually managed to clear their names in the end.

Yeah it would've been fine or good that the Eds got their names cleared and got away from being tortured by the Kids and the Kankers!

Yeah, like seriously! Nothing about Danny and the other writers of this episode is that they're not even trying to make it good and make it more sense! They're like, " No way! Let's not have the Eds get they're names cleared! Let's have them get tortured, abused, screamed, and ridiculed and have all the cul-de-sac kids and the Kankers win and Jimmy succeeding!"  Are you kidding me!!!

Some episodes of Ed, Edd and Eddy didn't air in there. I know, I was a huge EEaE fan and I watched every episode of it on my TV but I never saw this and some other episodes. I thought I missed them, but then I went to a hungarian website which has every episode of it online and this and some other episodes weren't uploaded. So yeah, they were banned. I'm not even surprised this was one of the banned episodes.

CN Hungary and Romania are very weird compared to CN America. The fifth season of Teen Titans was never aired, Level Up was removed from the channel even before the last episode was aired, etc.

Oh wow! I love the Ed-Touchables and Pop goes the Ed, because of their funny good story and the first one is a better mystery episode If It Smells like an Ed here!

Out with the Old... In with the Ed I really don't like and one of my least favorite episodes after If It Smells like an Ed, because part 1 was a Double-D torture porn as when everyone goes crazy about school, breaks into Edd's house and steals all of his school supplies while Edd becomes sad and dismayed about it. Part 2 is when on their first day of school, the Eds realized that they were assigned to separate classes and in order to stick together, they must force themselves to negotiate with the Kanker sister, who forced to do embarrassing things in front of them and it ends with the Eds being tricked by the Kankers in going to the Girls bathroom thinking that it was their new classroom, where they nightmarishly rape and kiss them inside! What a dark, creepy ending!

DomainMorph In reply to ??? [2016-03-25 12:29:11 +0000 UTC]

Yeah this was a horrible episode. You wanna know what's worse? There's a sequel to this episode in the form of "Smile for the Ed" In this episode all Eddy wants to do is take a good picture for his mother and Kevin ruins the picture. This leads to the Cul-De-Sac kids harassing and bullying Eddy. No joke, they downright bully him just like they do here in "Your Ed Here" The the ending has Eddy being punished more by getting blamed for something Double D did when Double D tries helping him.

As much as I love this show when it comes to episodes like these I really hate the Cul-De-Sac kids. And ones like Kevin and Sarah especially end up worse than what the Eds to to them, so whenever the "Status Quo is god" is used for the Eds in an episode it makes all the kids such unlikable characters and completely goes against the reason the Eds should be punished. (Especially for Kevin who has a reason to do so most of the time, A Case of Ed and This won't hurt an Ed for example) This and Tinker Ed just present itself as not only "Status Quo" effect, but presents Kevin and the kids as Karma Houdini's in this logic, whereas the Eds would be punished for doing those things. Very hypocritical message there. Everything is also one-sided against them. It just makes it look like the Eds get punished simply because they hate them rather than justified punishment like it should be. And because of the implications of these types of episodes I just find it hard to side with the kids in general, especially since they become even worse than the Ed's scams in these cases (It makes the Eds more likable because of this).

Like how Nazz is suppose to be the one who dislikes any sort of mean or cruel acts, yet she has no problem harassing and laughing at the Eds for stuff they don't deserve only because Kevin does it. (This also makes Nazz unlikable too, and just Kevin's yes-girl) In fact when Nazz does this those episodes completely forget "Boys Will be Eds" where she calls out everyone, including Kevin. In fact Double D being my favorite character on the show is a better role model than them in that situation. (Especially because he's more accepted by the kids in some cases than the other two, it makes it worse when they torment Double D under the same effect.) Again I only hate the Status Quo effect episodes because it just ruins a lot of why the Ed's are appose to be punished and instead you end up siding more with them.

It's the main reason people hate Kevin, Sarah and Jimmy, which I agree with. Kevin has his okay moments I'll give him that, but when he does do things in episodes like these it contradicts the justification he gives the Eds in other episodes and questions weather he just punishes them out of pure amusement or justification. It ruins his character in these types of episodes. Sometimes he laughs at them for just laughing at their pain (like if they trip over something) so again justification is questionable since the Eds can do nothing wrong and he laughs at them anyways, even for simple things like tripping over something.

It's also a reason I don't like Season 5 (the school episodes) that much because the school episodes suffer the problem of the Eds doing nothing wrong in a majority of those episodes and it ends with them being punished in such horrible ways. Either by the kids or Kankers. I know this show does have a mean-spirited vibe too, it's what the show is built on and it does it well as one of the best examples. But there's a difference between relatable mean-spitied humor and one-sided/status quo effect mean-spirited. Most of the time the kids fall into the latter. Which make me question the things they do. I really dislike them. Outside of those moments its a solid show regardless.

Other episodes that fall under this are

Look Before You Ed

Cleanliness is Next to Eddness (A Double D torture episode)

A Town Called Ed

Ed, Edd'n, Eddy's Boo Haw Haw

Ed, Edd'n Eddy's Jingle, Jingle Jangle (Fa, La, La, la Ed was a better Christmas episode)

Dim lit Ed

Pain in the Ed

My Fair Ed

Tinker Ed (The worst example of the one-sided/status quo trope for the Eds)

A Case of Ed

Sir Ed a Lot

Without taking into account the ending of the Big Picture Show or Take This Ed And Shove It, I wonder what kind of futures everyone will have with the behaviors presented in that episode. And by the way, do you think the way the kids behaved in that episode is the result of what I call Antonucci's Law (whenever something goes wrong for the kids, it's always the Eds (or one of the Eds) fault)?

This episode makes me want to hate Jimmy (still do). I always imagine Shao Kahn from "Mortal Kombat" popping up out of nowhere and smash Jimmy with his hammer. I know it may be wrong, but at least it would be worth seeing.

Somehow, I just wish this episode never happened.

Me too, or I even wish this episode gets edited and have the Eds get their names cleared! It's like a cliffhanger! It's like the writers were like "F*** no! Let's not have the Eds get their names cleared! Let's have them both get tortured and humiliated by the neighborhood kids and the Kankers, and have Jimmy get away a long with everyone!"

As I mentioned before, I wish I bring a Tyrannosaurus rex from Jurassic Park and Jurassic World in this terrible episode

The Eds are basically blamed for everything sometimes.
