Description
The original version. It only appeared once during the enitre three seasons of the original show, but had a very dramatic use during the single episode. It looks extremely cheesy, but 40 years ago it was probably the coolest weapon people had seen on a sci-fi show.First render I've ever used Global Illumination, was damn annoying working it in with the raytracing for the glass tubes.

I wish we'd seen this baby in more than a single episode! At least it's used a bit more in fan films.

Yeah, global illumination is hard but can be really useful for creating nice lighting. Try is with more objects and more lights and you can create some cool effects.
Anyway, cool model but I think that it would be neater if you gave the rest of the gun a dull shine, that might give it a more realistic texture.

nice, I especially like the yellow thing inside the tubes. Lighting might be too harsh and beef up the texture maps otherwise good job
