A design for the Missionary/Cleric of the Fantasy world I'm creating for my D&D game.
Who said Priests have to be 'good' alignment?

"Sessca was once the Kingdom of Magic, but when the Church took over and the King's Archmages fell into scandal, that changed. The mages had abused their power and the sect of the Church of Craeus, known as the Phoenixians, sought to 'save the soul' of Sessca by restricting, censoring, and banning many forms of magic. The Church sent out many Missionaries to preach of the new Sect and the Evils of Magic, believing that without restraint anyone with such power at their fingertips would become a tyrant, a witch, and a danger to everyone (Ironic).
Many of those outside of Sessca see these Missionaries as nothing more than violent bullies and zealots for their extreme methods of 'conversion', and those that fled Sessca can vouch for their close-mindedness and brutality. There are even murmurs that the Missionaries use their own Books of Scripture to cave in the skulls of anyone that questions their faith in the Gods, and many do not dare ask them if it is true."
