Thank you for this tutorial. It was very helpful since I just got into drawing. I'm really proud of the Wolf I drew
Only problem is, I just can't get the fur right and it comes out looking really stupid. Can you give me some advice?

well as for advice i would say try to study real photos either canineΒ΄s or felines.. like see how the fur are built up and how the fur/hair looks like close up. When i draw fur i pretty much make many fast and short (rather smooth) strokes close together and try to shape it after the guide lines but it sometimes depends on how fluffy you want your animal to be.

Am I the only one who prefers this over the new tutorial?
I love both of them though~ I'm just not a fan of hair on wolves xD

TripletNr2 In reply to zepIyn [2013-02-15 12:36:56 +0000 UTC]
No youre not the only one thinking that way xD
the thing with the hair i made on the second tutorial was only me "taking a step over the reality" .. there are persons who make personas or whatever theyre called and such so i just liked to play around with the fur/hair

Yeah, I know I don't mind hair on wolves, it's fine, but since I'm a semi-realism wolf artist, well, I suppose I don't need a tutorial on drawing hair for wolves.
Thanks anyway, they both helped!

may i ask what type of file you submit your art with so you can get the da mark? i submit jpegs and pdf (i think) yet i cant get the water mark.
on a different note, i will go and see if i can use this tutorial.
i kinda wanna draw something other than anime.

Can I just say to you one thing about the files you save your pictures as? JPG (jpeg) ruins the picture's quality (at least from what I've experienced). Try saving as png or bmp (if it's avaliable), that way the quality wont go down the drain and you can still have your picture!

OMFG! All the other wolf tutorials are hard to understand, but somehow, using the lines for the muzzle and eyes, really really helped! Thanks a ton~ :3
