it really is kinda wierd how similar they are to nappa and vegeta : 

After our main characters finds out about an alien that came for their world and defeat said alien. a long period of time a smaller alien and a bigger alien arrive on earth. When the stronger alien sees our heroes he/she doesn't think they're even worthy of fighting themselves, so the aliens use  a method not involving themselves physically in fighting our heroes. When this proves not effective, the taller more muscular villain steps in and for the most part crushes our main characters. Then after a bunch of fighting, our villains are defeated, one of which managed to escape in a sort of space pod. 


side note: a character also shielded the other main character/s
