As the title says, this was a banner I made for the Stargate Atlantis Big Bang 2009 comm at LiveJournal. The very ambitious mods that year asked for banner submissions, and designed an assortment of site skins to go with them, so you could choose your look. I probably spent just as much time working on this as I did on my Big Bang submission that year!

This was my first and just about only experiment with using GIMP, which is where I bent the blue galaxy/constellation text bits. The galaxy bits, btw, were written by me, and were meant to suggest the many creative ideas that fanficcers contribute to the fandom.
