Funny story: My mom was sick of being lost, so she stopped a man walking with his teenage daughter. We were looking for my bank and needed directions. The man laughed and said that they were lost, too, and looking for a completely different bank. His daughter groaned, took his hand, and said," Come on, dad." I grabbed my mom's arm and sternly said," Let's go, Mom." ( it annoyed me to admit that we were lost).

Seattle people are weird because most don't use an umbrella when it's raining. I was so overwhelmed by the traffic, the large groups of people walking the sidewalk and the constant noise from construction and cars...I couldn't handle the sensation of being hit by tiny droplets of rain ( too distracting) so I - for the first time since I was 8 - used an umbrella.
The umbrella helped calm me down and I was able to open google maps on my phone and find my bank.

"How was Seattle?"
I'd rate the trip a B-. There's a lot I would've done differently. I might go to Sakuracon again next year

I thought my uber driver was going to drive into the woods and rob/kill us because he strayed from the GPS route and took a creepy shortcut to get us to Walmart late at night. Then I had a mini panic attack when the female uber driver picking us up said," HAPPY 4/20!" But she was funny. She was telling us about how her son is into anime, too, and has naked hentai figures decorating his room.

"He likes anime boobies I guess," She laughed." He always says 'Mom, it's art'. Pfft! Whatever! Back in my day that was called porn." She shrugged." But that's teenage boys for ya."

I like Uber. After our first day in Seattle we didn't care if we got lost, we'd just call an uber to take us back to the convention or hotel
