I imagine I looked a bit peculiar pushing along my small kart with a lime-green lamp wedged between my purse in the top basket, and me with a grin brighter than a child's on Christmas morning. I hadn't expected to find a lamp for $20, and couldn't wait to find my sister and mother and show them my wonderful discovery.

The store was having a Going Out Of Business Sale, and was filled with women. My instincts told me something shady was going on, too many of the shoppers had a crazy look in their eyes, like they were afraid they were going to get caught (caught shoplifting or something). But, there was only one security guard in the store, and he was too busy following me, or my sister and my mother to care about anybody else. None of us shoplift, but i guess we stick out or something, because this happens to us in every store we go to. Anyway, the security guard following me was old, and I was walking in circles trying to find my family. He quickly gave up and stood guard over by the main entrance, losing all interest in me. There's actually not a point to this. I found my family, they had their kart filled with clothes and perfume, and I only had that lamp. We bought our things and drove home. End of story. The store closed down, and is an empty shell of a building.

I proudly placed my new lamp on my desk (as shown in the drawing, yes that mess is my desk).

My brother couldn't stop laughing when he came out of his room and saw my lamp. Its base is made out of glass and has a unique shape. When I asked what was so funny, he said." Trish, your new lamp looks like a bong." (Bong is a glass pipe used for smoking marijuana)

Now that's all I can see when I look at it.
