Ever wanted a more detailed look at some of the ARN's uniforms? Well Junior Warrant Officer Rhys O'Shaughnassy is here to help!

When I was drawing the back cover for Avania, Issue No.5, I was initially going to draw Rhys in her more casual blue sailor outfit, but given that this was to be an in-universe recruitment poster, I figured she would probably be wearing something dressier than PT clothes.
However, her regular service uniform's skirt is not particularly suited to such an energetic pose, so I spent some time detailing the other uniforms she might wear.
As a warrant officer, Rhys has a few more options (depending on circumstances) compared to either enlisted or commissioned crew. Which is very fortunate, because I can't decide which one is my favorite!

If you've been following Avania over the last 2+ years, you'll know the comic normally updates Sunday nights...
Right now I'm taking a break from posting new pages until the next chapter is finished, and as I finalize the comic issues for printing (you can read more about all that in my journal here. )
However, as part of the print prep process I am fixing up older pages, and tonight I will be updating the first issue of Avania, both covers and interior pages with the new larger, contrast-adjusted artwork.
