As I mentioned in my recent pinup wallpaper , I went nuts experimenting with different color variations... Well at some point when I was turning layers on and off, I wound up with just the line art and shading on beige, and damn if it didn't look kinda neat!(I slapped some katakana in there to make this happy little accident look purposeful).
