Description
II.I started a project for my exams, I'm illustrating a book named: Firedrake from Richard A. Knaak, who is also the author of Diablo and Warcraft books. I don't explain the story, if you are interested, read it, it's worth
The second pic, Lord Gryphon, the lord of Penacles. He used to be in humanoid form but I think he can transform into full animal form too.

Hmmm. You know, I always sort of pictured him as kind of a bald-eagle/gyrehawk with tawny hair that became manelike as it went down his neck (if that makes any sense; my first language is mental imagery, no speaky best ingrish ).
Ever considered a full-body drawing of him? The description from the beginning of 'Wolfhelm', I believe, is the best reference, disregarding Knaak's mis-statement about 'backward knees'.
But I digress (my #1 skill!). Wonderful work, and so far the only depiction of my liege to grace the site.

Thank you very much
yeah, I should draw him in full body, but hmmmrh always a new idea.
Wolfheim... doesn't ring a bell right now. is that a different book?
I would definitely not draw him with backward knees.
And don't worry...mental imagery is the most important

This fantastic! The lines are very fine and precise and fit perfectly with the coloring. And the colors are to die for, the effects, highlights. Brilliant work.
Watercolors by any chance?
