I thought Godzilla's portrayal was quite strange in Godzilla vs. Kong when compared to his previous appearances in the MonsterVerse, where he seemed like a strict king whereas in this movie he seems like a sadistic bully at times. I still enjoyed the movie, it was a ton of fun but I think the final battle between the titular monsters wasn't as fulfilling to me, the final fight with Mechagodzilla seemed more exciting.
Godzilla is owned by Toho and Legendary Pictures.
