I can go on and on about how much context matters here. First off, Lucy said that she and Gray were comrades, not lovers. Then you also have to consider that Natsu specifically mentioned that he and Juvia wanted Gray back the most.
Also, to shadow-kevin and Warlordgab , what are your thoughts on Natsu and Lucy potentially having a jail scene after the events of this chapter?

Well, mixed feelings about Gray cutting all of his ties to Fairy Tail.
I must admit, I was a little scared. But now I see something interesting, Gray probably awoke a fear in Lucy. When Lucy and Natsu met again after the 1-year timeskip she said the moment she saw his smile something inside her told her "Fairy Tail isn't over yet". When Natsu stared at Lucy's investigation wall, he decided to start the adventure to "rebuild" Fairy Tail and in chapter 426 Natsu reassured Lucy that Gray is still one of their comrades
So Gray now discarding the very basis of their guild, the bonds between family/friends, Lucy might feared that somehow Gray was right and Fairy Tail is no more
If we truly have a Jail scene next week, I hope Natsu is able to calm Lucy's possible fears and uplift her spirit
The only thing I give ZN is Gray looking at Lucy with pity... enough to be GrayLu? Don't think so but it still scared me a bit

A jail scene would be nice. Though I'm also leaning towards a repeat of the scene in Edolas only this time Avatar wants to Sacrifice Lucy. Which would then lead into Natsu losing his shit, the bandage on his arm coming right off and revealing that he kinda has some control over END's power.
