Description
The second fossil design for the Eson Region, if you chose the Flint fossil you would get these guys!Cromagma
--------------
Type: Rock/Fire
Derivation: Cromagnon, Magma
Abilities: Flash Fire
Classification: Firestarter Pokemon
Prehistoric humanshape Pokemon, Cromagma had heavy flint hands that could create sparks simply by snapping their fingers or forcefully scraping against other shards of rock - with enough force, they could create fire. They were intelligent Pokemon communicating through grunts and could even create simple adornments for themselves.
Neanderthoom
-----------
Type: Rock/Fire
Derivation: Neanderthal, Thoom
Abilities: Flash Fire
Classification: Firestarter Pokemon
Considered by some to be the gap between man and Pokemon, cave paintings made by Neanderthoom using simple materials and tools are still found today. They were adept at creating fires using the sharp stone flints that grew from the palms of their hands, which could create flames and explosions; their bodies were immune to the fire, but they would set their fur alight to ward off predators.
Hope you like them!

Well shoot these guys are little interesting than my caveman poke's. I originally concieved as two water/fossil (this was made with a type i invented in mind) pokemon (Linkrawl and Linkape in that order) that then had two paths for evolution fom there. If Linkape learned all ground moves, it would evolve into the oafish and weak-minded Neandork; but if it learned a singleΒ fire move, it would evolve into the cleaver and adaptible Croman.

Thanks, I'm pleased you like them Cavemen are always tough to design, because you have to be careful not to make them too human or it becomes creepy on other levels, but the good side is there are a lot of different options and types you can go for; yours sound quite a bit different to mine, though, I'd like to see them
it's always nice to have options when it comes to evolution and it's a good idea to based them on the classic betafish-style idea.

I knew it. Kamikaze flaming cavemen. I knew it.
An unusual and interesting concept here, and nice job making them not look too human despite their humanoid appearance. Also, Cromagma is steaming hot in both ways

"A day without some kind of crazy, blazing neanderthal trying to explode and take you with it is a day without sunshine."
I think that's how the old expression goes, anyway.
Hahah he does have the moves I bet he's a treat at parties too
Thank you very much, I'm getting a bit more used to finding the line between human and pokemon now in terms of design and I have a few more ideas that will help practise for the future too

Yep you got it all right. Rather depressing and boring when there's not a flaming caveman threatening to explode your body into smithereens. But that could be just me.
He could take care of the pyrotechnics too
Yep making humanoid fakemon requires a certain skill in drawing a limit and I think you got it good.

Nice concept for theses guys as well! I said yesterday, that I'd pick the Flint Fossil because it would be part Fire, but when I saw the bird it hooked me and brought me in! But anyway, I love what you did here from the bone in it's hair to the flint in it's palm! And like the Dodo Fossils I give this aΒ
10/10

Thanks very much my friend you were right, part fire it is! The good thing about caveman ideas is there are so many different types it could have been... there's ice and I've seen caveman-based fakemon that have been grass and fighting as well, so it was fun to make a concept with an overlooked typing

Surely an amazing yet original design for Fakemon based in Cavemen.
Love Neanderthoom pose. It's like they are ready to set of fire a huge extention of forest and eat the meat they hunt thanks to their doings (as our ancestors should did in those times)
Cromagma poses is a bit hilarious. Those hands...is like he is celebrating RocknRoll!! Oh yeah baby XD.

Trueform In reply to RuneKerianDrake [2013-11-05 22:30:47 +0000 UTC]
Many thanks, it was a big challenge to create something like this, but that is the fun part there have been a few caveman designs, but the ones I have seen have been different types so it was a good opportunity
Heheh yeah I wanted Neanderthoom to seem more aggressive than it's pre-evo and to survive in prehistoric Pokemon times, they'd have to be pretty tough but that would certainly be a good way to hunt! As for Cromagma... I couldn't resist I can imagine them using headbutt a lot

RuneKerianDrake In reply to Trueform [2013-11-05 22:38:16 +0000 UTC]
Both designs are amazing and I like them so much as well. You should continue making improvisations and wicked ideas as these ones. Surely one of these days you invent something extremely rare and uncommon too.
Neanderthoom perfect example of the most gruesome yet almost-perfect huntman.
Cromagma...the best example of why RocknRoll still rocking on!!

Thanks very much, it means a lot to hear that I particularly find humanoid Pokemon tough to create since it's a fine line to walk - making them TOO human can be a little creepy on several levels. I'm pleased you like them

Yeah it's a fine line. Sometimes when you add things like weapons or clothing, if they're not part of the body they don't look like Pokemon and instead go over the digimon threshold.

Trueform In reply to RedPanda7 [2013-11-06 16:16:11 +0000 UTC]
I do like digimon, but the designs do have quite a different theme. A lot of digimon designs are a bit less child-friendly too
