Description
The very train of thoughtleading me to write this poem
left on the last train heading north.
It was scheduled for 4 p.m.
Sharp
as a knife cutting through
worries
about worrying too much
when they are having a good time.
Do you think they noticed
I wasn't there so they might
play Where's Noah like
Where's Waldo but Waldo's
at the train station
waiting for 4 p.m.
sharp.
Getting away is
as easy as a hot knife
through butter
but the worries haunt like
a lonely ghost after sunset
and maybe I'll find a friend
in that ghost
or maybe they'll
find Waldo
at 3.59 p.m.
sharp
as a knife,
one minute
before the train of thought
that lead to this poem
left
on the last train heading north
at 4 p.m. sharp,
with everything it knows
but me.

Very enjoyable indeed perhaps if we all could find a friend in that ghost... XD
