They are both based on an ancient Japanese legend about a golden warrior. It's a folktale as common in Japan as Brothers Grimm stories are in the US.

yeah.....no. my 1990's childhood was nes, snes, some sega, drawing on walls (or so my mom keeps saying), watching bill cliton from my crib (out all the memories, that is still as clear as day.), DBZ on video cassettes and Dr.Suess books and some other fairytales. my father molded me into an otaku since near birth. hell, whatever you know now in the anime world, I may have known it for half a decade at the most. so...srry?
