Description
Whew! This took a long time. At first I thought I would have trouble filling it out the suggested way, but before I knew it, all the things I wanted to put on here fell into place. I wanted to addSailormoon
Ah! My Goddess
Ranma
but those were more like childhood influences. I guess they made me who I am today, though I rarely take inspiration from them now.
I also had a hard time picking out a favorite picture for each artist. That was probably what took the majority of my time. Now for a little comment about each one (somewhat in order from most influential):
MINEKURA Kazuya: Obviously the largest box. I went through a whole style change at one point referencing her work and learning more anatomy to go with it. Her style is changing a bit though as she moves to digital, but I will never forget her copic art. Love Saiyuki still!
kurot: Her style is generic.. but not generic at the same time!! She just makes it her own and I love it. I look to her for faster drawing skills!!
SUOU: is LOVE. If you zoom in her work is really messy. But I really want to color like her. And draw like her. And think of cool things to draw like her. Her style is comparable to Kazuaki's, but I like SUOU more.
CLAMP: Always has been and always will be one of my favorites. A childhood influence that I still look to today.
TAKANAGA Hinako: Favorite BL. Sometimes her characters look alike, but I know who's who! I look to her for.. BL help.
mou-S: I notice that she deleted come of her old artworks from dA! I like them! She has a nice way of painting. I look to her for painting help.
zemotion: Her photos are beautiful and so full of emotion. 'Nuff said.
TAKARAI Rihito: Another wonderful BL artist. Her art.. It's a little messy, but it works well with the stories in her manga. It's "light" I guess? I like her painting style too.
H games: HELL YEA!!! H games are.. as generic as anime girls get. And I was influenced by them!! I still look at Shuffle! and Sumaga screens now and then.
NAKAMURA Asumiko: Her manga is mostly dark and sad and pulls at your heart with fun. Her art is unique in that it's very.. spider-y and fluid. Sometimes gothic. Not your typical shoujo style. Inspires!
Oh!Great: He. Is. So. Good. And. Creative. His manga get out of hand sometimes but his art is no doubt top notch. His girls and his guys are so attractive! Love his details.
TANEMURA Arina: Well.. Her clothes designs are pretty. Her style is attractive. I take from that I guess. Her manga are a little shallow though.
NOKAGE Hinata: One of (if not most) favorite doujinshika. I like her stories and B&W art. Her color work is okay. What sold me was that for a Saiyuki dj artist, her work was so unlike Minekura-sensei's (whom most Saiyuki dj artists try to imitate). I take from her style most definitely!
That's MOSTLY everyone!! Definitely more, but these are most prominent. For all the R18 artists I take from, I'm surprised I'm not submitting porn into my gallery! (It's because I'm scared of drawing private areas hahaha.)
