Muwhaha... my obsession with him is becoming overwhelming.
Anyway, this is kind of my interpretation of how he would be at first when he got his "ghost power". All unsure and sort of scared because we all know this isn't normal.

I looked over a fanfic connected to Memiry Blank. I think a good part of him wants to be human instead of a halfa, regardless of the power it grants. The fic explained how it took a while for Dannyroget his memories straight. Something bugged him and he eventually asked Sam why she made him half ghost again knowing full well that he wanted a normal life. In the story, SAN really wasn't sure if the portal accident would work this time around but hoped and assumed it did.
Sam also assumes that he actually likes having powers, assuming Danny was fine. Danny is pretty good at making the best out of bad situations. Doesn't mean he likes those situations. He asked her if you wanted it that badly, why didn't you go through the portal?"
