For this picture, it has a lot of raw emotion thrown into it, and it was very good for a timed study.
The colors added into it seems like it took up most of the effort, and while the palette looks fantastic, the details need refinement and more focus put into it. The man's shape is very blurry as well as the wave's and the strokes of the brush seem short and sloppy, and with extra time I'm sure that it would look even better. The surfboard seems like it would need shading and a clear defined shape rather than the foggy appearance it displays in the picture and the man's face is half covered by his hair, but a re-visitation will be necessary.
