Description
Here is my new gun turned on. A steampunk flintlock.Made from a flintlock, brass scope, and a metal LED glow thingy. Attached with brass plated with cukoo screws.

I think I can figure out how to fabricate something similar. I pretty much stick to guns with my ideas, but I do have a concept for a massive arm I want to make. Thanks for the inspiration!

I say mount it inside the barrel. just barely sticking out. use a rubber grommet to center it inside as well as holding it stationary.

I guess you could turn it into a magic/steam hybrid weapon. You have to affix it to the rest of the gun in a way that LOOKS solid, though. It's all fine and dandy having a piece that is actually solidly attatched, but Steampunk has always, at least for me, been about visual appeal; you're supposed to be able to see how it works and how it's held together.
For this I'd say add some copper rings around the blue rod that form bands around it and attatch to the rest of the gun.

It is solid though, but I get what you mean. I was going to add a bunch of copper tubing but wasnt sure how it will look and conflict with the flintlock system. I am a bit more functional rather than looks myself.

I don't see the purpose of the blue rod. It doesn't seem to have any practical purpose; it doesn't seem to help in the working of the gun at all.

Yes I see your point. I still want to keep that feature but make it a bit more concealed but still lite up. One idea was to cover it in a glass tube but I am open for ideas.
