Once there was a bar. Sala’s Tavern is a chain known across Soralia for its quality. Massive establishments located in key places across the continents. Each one acclimated for its climate, but the main one located in Volcanus, where Sala herself resides. After getting settled in, Anura and Remi travel the waterways, to arrive…
Anura: “Wait…that building…”
Remi: “Heh~ You’ve been before?~”
*They land at the platform, and the spiraling structure is in full view
Anura: “Sala’s…they have Sala’s in Aquas?”
Remi: “I find it harder to believe there is one in Frigis~ The chain started in Volcanus you know~” *Playfully bumps against Anura
Anura: “Hey!~ Alright, alright, you clearly know more than me about this place than me~” *Pushes back, and runs ahead
Remi: “You’re not getting away that easy~” *Rushes in front of Anura, and gets to the register just before her
Anura: “That’s cheating!”
Remi: “You’re just upset I won our race~” *Gets them their table, with a prior reservation, and they are led to a small booth
*The restaurant’s interior is nice and wet, lots of bottles displayed as they head to squishy soft seating at their table
Anura: “It's so…”
Remi: “Different?~ The one in Solos is different too”
Anura: “Solos? Why would you have gone there?”
Remi: “I was born there~ Hehe~”
*Anura is immediately interested, however the waiter soon arrives, asking for their order. Before she can speak, Remi orders drinks for them both, and food for herself
Anura: “Wait I-”
Remi: “Hurry up, don’t keep the waiter waiting~”
*Anura rushes to look at the menu, finding very few food options under the sea of drinks, picking quickly and looking at Remi as the waiter leaves. However, Remi still gets the first word
Remi: “Aquas specializes in their drinks~ Because of our reservation you wouldn’t have enough time to pick without being rude…besides, the drink is part of this little bonding experience~”
Anura: “Do I want to know what extra stuffed Overqwill alcohol is?”
Remi: “Nah~ You’ll find out soon~”
Anura: And why aren’t you getting it?
Remi: I don’t like alcohol, besides, it’s your drink~
*With that slightly mischievous note in the air, Anura pauses, then changes the subject
Anura: “So…Solos?”
Remi: “Yeah, I was born there. Some things happened and I ended up a vaporeon. Heh~ I needed to move away, so I chose the place that fit my new body the best”
Anura: “Is that part of why you are anthro?”
Remi: “That was hard work, acid armor, and a little bit, yeah~ You satisfied?”
Anura: “I suppose so”
Remi: “Good~ My turn~ Why did you decide to leave Frigis?~ *Leans in, beginning her secondary ‘interrogation’”
Anura: “Oh? Well, uh…it was boring”
Remi: “Boring?”
Anura: “The ice and snow is charming and all, but once you’ve beaten everyone in the gym 10 times over, there isn’t much left to do. The only interesting opponents were Shalanna and Shana, but Shana is busy most of the time, and Shalanna is…she has a dark aura around her”
Remi: “So you came seeking a thrill?”
Anura: “More…a change of settings and opponents. I’m fine settling down a bit, but…I did everything there was to do without moving somewhere else in Frigis. If I’m moving, why not explore another continent?”
Remi: “I see~ Heh~ You’ll certainly get your share of new opponents here~ Me, and the other elite guards for instance~ Maybe the king~”
Anura: “The king!?”
Remi: “Nylis comes and spars with us when he wants to avoid Livia~ Like when he spectated your exam~”
Anura: “Huh, that makes-”
*The waiter comes back, and the conversation pauses as they eat. The drink tastes pungent, spicy, and is very potent, it hits Anura hard, and she begins to relax and giggle
Remi: “So, you drink. You didn’t object to it; but you don’t drink enough to handle the Qwilfish drink. How are you feeling~?”
Anura: “I feel fiiiiiiine~” *Flicks her hand a little, clearly drunk
Remi: “I’m sure you do~ Nice and drunk~” *Pokes her a little
Anura: “Staaaaaap~”
Remi: “What do you think about me and your job?~”
Anura: “Interesting~ Exciting~ Fuuuuuun~ Hehe~”
Remi: “Good~ Let's go home”
Remi would take Anura back through the waterways, putting Anura in Anura’s bed, smiling as she got what she wanted from the exchange. She heads out, passing a few elite guard members as she looks for Nylis
