Well, what do you know! An anime convention has started up in Amity Park. Whenever such events take place, you can usually count on one thing to see. Cosplay...and LOTS OF IT! And for the people of Amity Park, this is no exception. Even the residents of the Ghost Zone are getting in on the act.This first pic comes as part of my ongoing quest to get my request pics out of the way before returning to my fanfic writing. This one comes by way of , who is really the main reason this whole thing got started. His original request was that he wanted to see his favorite DP lady, Ember McLain, in some martial arts gear. Well, we got to talking and this basically went from a Naruto cosplay idea to a general cosplay idea, which eventually grew into an idea for an entire series on this subject. I'll gradually be banging out more pics for this series as time goes on (and as I come up with more ideas). But for right now, this is good enough to start.
Here we have Ember cosplaying as Ino Yamanaka from Naruto (Shippuden version), Penelope Spectra as Temari from Naruto (pre-Shippuden version so she can show herself off more) and Desiree coming in as Madame Shirley from One Piece (as you can see, it's a bubble pipe she has in her hands, she's not actually smoking). The background of this pic is simply based in the convention's Photo Room, where patrons can have their pictures professionally taken in their cosplay. And in case you're wondering why a professional photographer would actually want to take a picture of these three, well...let's just say they didn't give him a whole lot of choice in the matter.

Burner wears a black welding mechanics outfit half zipped up so as to show his chest, his hair is red with orange highlight so as to make it look like flames and his short goatee is the same( he doesn't have a mustache just the chin beard), the suit has flame designs at the cuffs of the legs and sleeves, and he wears black fingerless gloves with metal studs on the knuckles. He also wears a pair of thin, round wire frame sun glasses on the end of his nose and is always accompanied by his Doberman Desile and Desile has a spiked collar and a full length tail cause Burner say docking an animals tall is cruel.
In his back story I wrote a long time ago he and Ember meet when her tour bus brakes down outside the repair shop he runs, they like each other and through that relationship Ember learns to care for others. However the ending of the story is sad cause Burner gets shot try to protect her not knowing she is a ghost and dies in the hospital that's when Ember brakes and cries her eyes out and remaines miserable until she vista the repair shop on Sam's order so she can have closer only to be greeted buy the ghost of Desile and crys while hugging the dog until she hears someone behinder say "What's up buttercup?" And turns around to find a ghostly Burner smiling at her. As a ghost his hair really is flame and so is his chin beard and his skin is pale line hers.
If you would like to use him in a story/episode I would be honored and I think he would be to.

Well, it definitely sounds like an interesting character. Can't see myself using him in my series, though (it's a back story that just sounds WAY too grim for the tone I'm trying to maintain). But I could probably draw you a pic. Is there any particular idea for an image that you had in mind?

Well, actually, I should have pointed out the other part of the problem where I'm kind of sticking with the show canon of Ember being with Skulker (something you'll be seeing as you keep going through my fics...SPOILER ALERT!!). But again, a pic would be no problem. Is there anything specific you'd like to see?

You can change that if you want he doesn't have to have a love interest.
How's this for a better back story, he is the ghost of a auto mechanic who live in an abandoned junkyard where he restores old car using a power similar to what Ghost Rider did to change his bike in the movie. He is a peaceful ghost who wants nothing more than to preserve classic car, but when Dash an the jock break into the junk and start smashing stuff to prove thy their not scared of him he gets mad and stars bring cars to life to terrorize the town and it up to Danny and Sam to calm him down and get the jock to apologize to him before he wrecks the entire Amity Park auto industry.

Hmmm, interesting. I get the sense you've been sitting on that whole mechanic angle for a while, just in case.^_^
We might need something a little deeper for him, though. Having him going on a rampage just because he's mad at Dash (not that that isn't a good reason, mind you) just doesn't sound like enough for a full story. I feel like it needs a little something more.

Well he is not just mad at dash because he wrecked some cars he is mad that he disrepected him and by association his beauties he's also mad that everyone in Amity Park has voted to bulldoze his home to make way for a parking lot. Is that better I mean he really loves these old cars cause he believe each one is unique and tells a story and when he restores them it makes him feel like he is bringing them back to life.
And yeah I've had this idea for quite a while.

"Disrespected"? "His beauties"? You made him sound like the Duke of Detroit from MotorCity for a second there.^_^
Well, it could bring about some political ramifications for Tucker in his election campaign. But this added wrinkle of his junkyard possibly getting destroyed has some merit. Still needs a bit of development to make a full story out of it. But we don't need to focus on that RIGHT right now. We've got plenty of time to get everything ironed out, since, like I said, it'll be a while before I get to him.

Oh no he is nowhere near as conceded as the duke, Burner just has a deep passion for restoring and preserving these automobiles, he's like Sam and her causes. He feels there pain and betrayal of being abandoned after giving their owners the best years of their lives. And the political aspects of this I didn't want to be mean to Tucker so it's not his idea but the citizens of the upper class who believe the junkyard to be an eye sore and one that has to go. As for Dash 'disrespecting' him its because Burners puts his heart and sole into the restorations and to see someone blanenatly destroy all his hard work breaks his heart and infuriates him at the same time. Let me give you a tid bit of what he would say to everyone once The Phantom duo get him calmed down. "You people are nothing but a bunch of inconsiderate, callous, pigs. These iron horses, these mechanical mule, these wonderful automotive creatures give you the best years of their lives and what do you do when they begin to show their age? You cast them aside like a worn out GLOVE! They come to me scared and confused cause they've just been abandoned and they don't know why."
In other stuff can you put Burners dog Desile in the pic with him and Ember.

Well, I could make something happen along those lines. The only reason I'd like to see something deeper from him is that I'd want to draw the story out a bit, to be more like a full-sized episode. What we've got here seems more like a half-episode segment. Because it's pretty safe to say that it wouldn't take much for Danny and the others to track down Burner and kind of get his head right.
Although there is one thing we could do. We could probably have Danny and the others trying to stop another ghost while all this is going on, but they can never shut him down because Burner's rampage keeps getting in their way. So they have to calm down Burner first, or else they're never going to stop the real bad guy.
Speaking of Burner, though, I just saved that character sketch you posted. I'm pretty sure I can update that look to more along my drawing lines. But at the same time, I just came up with an idea for it that I think will be really cute and funny. As I'm sure you know, I drew a request pic a while back with another guy's OC singing on stage with Ember, while Skulker hovers jealously backstage. I could do a similar thing with this pic. Maybe make it a pic where Burner's got his eye on Ember. And Ember's kind of flirting back (maybe even going so far as to let the strap on her top "accidentally" slip off her shoulder). All the while, though, Skulker is peering just over the hood of the hot rod, his cannon at the ready in case things go too far. Little does he know that Desile is keeping a suspicious eye on HIM as well.
By the way, where did you get the name, Desile from, anyway?
Oh, speaking of pics, I just thought of something else to ask you as well. as far as the pic with Sam going to seduce Danny in a skimpy bikini, would you prefer it to be a young Sam? Or would you rather it be a pic of Future Sam, rocking that voluptuous, Maddie-style bod? I only ask, because the idea just came to me. Also, since with that Danny/Plant Sam pic you wanted, I was just thinking of having Sam in her first form, not her second. So young Sam will get a chance to show off a little sexiness already. In the end, it's your call. I just thought I'd ask.

To go in order what do I need to do to make Burner deeper like where to start I did leave out his blind rage form that looks like a hulled out gremlin with a tail, but give me a hint.
Second I love your idea for the Burner and Ember pick with her strap slid down and Skulker in the background watch with the dog watching him so do that one.
Third is really tuff but if I had to choose I'd say draw future Sam cause while Sam is hot either way future Sam really has the body to really work a two peice and sence young Sam will already be getting sexy with young Danny we can see both past and future having an intimate moment.
As for Desile's name it sounds like diesel as in the fuel but its spelled different I had a Doberman awhile back with the same name and he was a great dog and I thought this was a nice way to honor his memory.

Hmmm...well, first of all, as for a story involving Burner, don't feel like we have to get this all squared away right this very second. Like I said, it's going to be quite a bit before I get to his story. So it's not as if we don't have plenty of time to come up with something. So don't put too much pressure on yourself. Also, you might want to wait until you've read all my fics first. Because once you get to my fic, "Pairing Off", you're probably going to see why Ember and Skulker might not exactly welcome Technus with open arms. Having said that, though, having Technus alone as the main villain might not be so bad. I've been looking for an excuse to bring him back (again, once you read "Pairing Off", you'll see what I mean).
Glad you like my picture ideas. I'll definitely be working on those, probably sooner than later.^_^

Well what do think of the other idea I gave and I'm not trying to pressure myself I just like to get my ideas out there before I loose them. I have a bad long term memory. As for the pictures your welcome the idea you had with Burner and Ember was both hot and funny. Desile can turn into a monster dog when threatened soi think he'll keep Skulker from bothering them. Oh before I forget Desile's coloration is black and fire red the same as his master's hair and his ear are pointed I feel the need to point that our cause most times Doberman with long tales have floppy ear he does not.

Well, if you don't have the greatest long-term memory, that's fine. When it comes to story ideas, MY long-term memory usually stays pretty sharp. I stand by what I said, though. You'd probably be better off waiting to elaborate with more ideas until you've at least read the fanfics I've written so far. That way, you'll know what's happened and you won't have to worry about suggesting anything contradictory.^_^
Well, I don't think we'll see Desile's monster form. However, I'm thinking of sticking to Hartman form and making him look kind of cartoony and cute (well, as cute as a doberman CAN look, anyway). And no, I wasn't planning on giving him floppy ears. I was actually planning to stick with a look that's as traditional for a doberman as possible.^_^

Well, look at it this way. You're already part of a future story. You got my attention, which is all you really needed to do. We just need to iron the concept out and come up with a story that flows well and will ultimately work. And we've got lots of time to do that. Trust me, it'll all come out in wash.^_^
I'll definitely be putting your pics together with this current batch I'm working on (I'm gonna finish with the pencil drawings for everything, hopefully before too much longer). As for Desile, though, you don't have to worry. I'm not going to make him look really super cute, to the extent that a character like Danielle is really super cute. I really just said "cute" for lack of a better term. But trust me, when you see the pic and what I've envisioned in my head, you'll understand perfectly what I meant.^_^

Alright I did however draw Burner's rage form while the image was still fresh in my mind but my stupid iPhone is wanting to make it difficult to post it. I'm readin 'Pairing Off' now and I gotta say I loved the part where Danny and Sam are talking every time they bash Skulker and Technus past one another that's a hoot! Haha^_^

Well, maybe it might be easier to simply transfer the image to your PC and then upload it to DA. That might work.
As for "Pairing Off", glad you're enjoying the more humorous aspects of it. Like I said, after all the drama I'd been putting Danny and Sam through, I wanted things after "Herta and Minds" to be a little more lighthearted and fun.^_^

Well I managed to do it at the library so Burner's rage form is up if you wanna see it, I also thought that it would be cute to see Danielle riding on his shoulders so that might art worthy or possibly some scene in the fanfic he start out in. Well, I'm thinking to maybe have Technus operate solo with Burner as his unwitting pawn. Thing is, I'm going to have enough characters running around and it's going to be tough enough making sure they all get equal face time, you know?

Ah I understand well I have been working on making Burner deeper. What do you think of this, he has a secret that not even he is aware of, he is half human but was born in ghost mode so that's the way he has lived his life that would let Danny and Sam teach him how to fly in a future fiction ( he can only float now but when he learns how his ghost tail become like flame shooting out of an afterburner) his father was the junkyard ghost before him and his mother was a ghost hunter. The guys in white knocked off his dad but he doesn't remember it nor does he remember his mother. How's that for deep? They don't half to find out all this in his first appearance.

Hmmm, you know, I think you misunderstood what I meant about making Burner deeper. I do kind of like him the way he is (I don't know so much about the monster form, but we'll see). What I meant about making him deeper was simply to have something more driving him than just that he was made at a couple of people. Because that just didn't feel like enough to make a complete story out of. That's why I suggested the idea of maybe having another character as the main villain while Burner's side attacks are hindering everyone's attempts to stop him. The back story kind of sounds a little grim, too. But that's just me.

I know I just get excited you know and I'm trying to better myself in creating a character with more depth, as it turns out I think I understand what you were saying and I came up with the idea that loony ness and grief drive Burner as well because he as no friends or family and the only "family" he had ever know has been the cars at the junk yard so seeing them abused would probably push his buttons, an I going in the right direction. And in sorry I keep at this but I use your feed back on my ideas as sort of a guiding light to show me if I'm understanding something correctly.

Well, it sounds like a pretty good idea. You know you could have it that he ran the scrap yard years ago, but when he died, his spirit couldn't bear to leave, so he hung around. Just something to throw out there.^_^

Ember is Ino from Naruto (Shippuden-style...Spectra is dressed as pre-Shippuden Temari so as to make her outfit extra revealing).
It's worth noting that Ember is actually the one who got this all rolling. This initially started out as request to draw Ember in some kind of ninja garb. Then after a series of discussions, the idea went from a ninja pic to a Naruto cosplay pic to a general cosplay pic, featuring the entire DP cast.
Speaking of which, I AM going to be coming back to this and actually expanding it into the series it was intended to be. It's going to start with my next series of pics (which I hope to start sometime in the next week or so, once my Gargoyles fanfic is completed). Next to get their picture taken is Danny and Sam. Who they'll be cosplaying as, I will not reveal here, since it would ruin the surprise. You'll just have to see the pic once I post it. I'd like to think that in both cases, though, everyone will find the costumes fitting.^_^

Well, in a sense, that's partly what anime cons, sci-fi cons and Comicons are. You really can't go to one of those things anymore without finding someone in costume. Anime cons, especially. At least 50-75% of the people who go are in cosplay. And that's what's happening here. Like I say, I have several other pieces planned around this theme. Once I get my latest DP fanfic completed and I'm back to drawing, I'll bang out at least a couple more.

Glad you like it. As for Ember's legs, well, the skirt design does kind of "misinterpret" their actual size. For a more proportionate design, I suggest you check out a previous Ember pic I did called, "A Duet Come True" (you should be able to find it in my gallery easy enough).
Having said that, though, I actually don't mind drawing Ember a little "hippy" because the truth is, I actually think her butt is her best feature.
